Sometimes life can be overwhelming and we end up facing challenges we do not feel prepared for. Therapy works in part by building a supportive, collaborative relationship. My passion is to help those who are struggling and allow a safe space for students to voice stressors, learn coping skills, manage uncomfortable emotions and process trauma. My goal is to help students and families feel validated and heard while also finding solutions and problem solving ways to meet goals and improve functioning.

I am a licensed independent social worker for clinical practice (LISW-CP). I utilize a variety of therapy techniques to assist students in developing healthier thought patterns and behaviors, exploring how thoughts and feelings affect behavioral choices, regulating big emotions, improving self-esteem, processing traumatic experiences and coping with grief. I have experience working with anxiety disorders, trauma, depression, suicidality, self-harm, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders and grief. I use a person-centered and strengths based approach and I often incorporate interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, art therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction, and solution focused therapy.
